a shopping list

Some recipes belong to a feeling. A long Sunday that slowly turns into brunch, a Tuesday that needs dinner in twenty minutes, the first cold night that asks for soup. So I sorted my kitchen by moments. Pick the one you’re in, and everything is right there: the recipes, my tips and a little essentials list.

OCTOBER & NOVEMBER

Harvest Table

Fall is my favorite excuse to stay in. The market goes a little overboard with pumpkins and chestnuts, the oven stays on all afternoon and suddenly every dinner feels like it deserves a long table. This is how I cook from October on: one big tart, one pot of soup, something with apples. Bring nothing, stay late.

HALLOWEEN WEEK

Spooky Season

I was never a horror movie girl. Slasher films? Absolutely not. For me Halloween was always the cozy family version: a slightly crooked pumpkin on the steps, a movie everyone has seen twelve times and snacks that are mostly pink. That’s what this moment is, just with better deviled eggs.

ANY RAINY EVENING

Cozy Night In

I’m a homegirl, through and through. Rain on the window, thick socks, one candle and something bubbling on the stove, and I’m not leaving the flat until Monday. These are the recipes for exactly those evenings: slow, cheesy and best eaten on the sofa, ideally with seconds.
